Wirat Srida - Ratti

I want to thank you Anthony for accepting me as a friend unconditionally. Every aspect of our friendships which I have fond memories of include: Yearly meeting for lunch with other friends at his house, Hampstead which’s surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers; Stonewall Charity Dinner; Day Trip on Concord; Weekend Break in Bilbao; Dinner at A Reconstructed French Room at Lloyd’s of London; Kid and a Widow Show; Shakespeare's play The Taming of the Shrew; Follies Musical by Sondheim; Wimbledon Debenture Ticket to Court One 2019; Lunch in Wivenhoe to Celebrate Ratti’s 60 Birthday 2021 and the list goes on and on. Anthony is a gentleman. He’s never made any complaint and “When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going”. Over 5 years ago walking any distance would be a challenge for Anthony. One evening we visited John Colwell’s new place of residence in Putney. It’s 10 minutes away on foot from East Putney Station but it took us 35 minutes. Anthony was sweating when we arrived outside John’s building. Furthermore the lift wasn’t working but Anthony didn’t give up. So we climbed 5 flights of stairs to John’s flat. At the last flight of stairs instead of saying Hooray!!!!! Anthony looked at me with sternly face and said it in such humorous sarcastic way “Many more flights of stairs would you like me to try dear”. I burst out laughing like I was having a laughing fit. We laughed so much that we couldn’t contain ourselves. This demonstrates how kind Anthony was for not allowing me to have a guilty feeling for not taking a taxi.
